What an awesome morning I had with this gorgeous family shooting pregnancy and family photos. They have been coming to Waimanalo Beach on vacation for years and this time they decided to document with a beautiful family portrait session and bonus maternity photos! The sun was shining, the ocean was gleaming, the sky was blue and everyone was smiling and having fun. I love family photography!

Couple Photos at Makapu’u Beach: Honolulu Engagement Photographer

One thing about being an on location photographer, we cannot control the weather! It was a little bit cloudy that morning at Makapuu Beach, but it was dry when we arrived and there was even blue sky peeking through. The first half of the session this adorable couple frolicked along the sandy beach, only getting wet from the ocean. And then the heavens opened up and a downpour of “blessings” soaked all three of us. I’ve got to hand it to these two, they just kept on enjoying themselves! After the 5 minutes of hard rain moved on they took a minute to change out of their soaked clothes to outfit number two while I dealt with my water logged camera! We continued on and got a few more gorgeous shots. Just another day photographing awesome people in Hawaii!

Pregnancy Photography: Honolulu Maternity Photographer

I have had the absolute pleasure of shooting pregnancy photos for this family not one but two times! In the last round this couple brought their two older boys along for the maternity photo session. This time, with baby number 4 on the way (!) they left the kids at home. We hit three locations (Baby Makapu’u, Sandy’s and Portlock), wore multiple outfits including a super fun tutu, and I managed to get both mama and papa completely soaked in the warm Hawaiian ocean at sunset. I love getting to work with past clients and when clients become friends!

It was a stormy Hawaiian afternoon and we were set to meet for a photo session at Waimanalo, but when we arrived it was raining and pouring with no end in sight. No worries, we headed 5 minutes down the road to Sandy Beach instead. You have got to love Hawaii and it’s micro climates! This adorable couple is getting married this summer and wanted some beautiful beach engagement photos while on vacation in Hawaii. They were adorable and full of laughter. These two are going to go far together.
